Leave a bad review get banned from garage door

What bothers me the most is they have a back door into their consumer devices inside your home network. This should not only be no, but h*** no!

They blocked the device on their end from talking to their servers. They don't necessarily have a backdoor into a home network. Although any device which uses nat traversal could be used as an endpoint into your network.

Ummm - They are through the router's NAT, they have bypassed the device password set by the owner, their device has a web server built into it so it has it's own OS and it's on the owner's internal network with access by the manufacturer. Yep - I'd call that a big back door (or is the front door being left wide open?).

Is it a backdoor or the software calls home and if home isn't available after so many calls, it disables? That would be different than an open backdoor and a pretty common validation method used by software developers today.

I think I'd be owning a company....I mean if they open for example your garage door, couldn't you almost get them for breaking and entering?
