I have a customer with an HP Pavilion DV6000 laptop which the motherboard and screen had to be replaced upon returning the device to the customer all was well. A few weeks later the same laptop is back in the shop after the customer had popped up the power strip and pressed it back down. After the customer doing this the computer would no longer start up. When you press the power button the laptop starts and then restarts with nothing on the screen. I'm wondering if this is because the power button chip has been shorted out?
