Does anyone know of a reputable reseller for laptop batteries? I would prefer companies you have used before. Our company always orders direct, but I am looking for one for my wife's dell. I checked the site and its almost $200. I really can't justify putting that much into a 4 year old machine. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatly, laptop batteries are usually in that price range, especially if they are legacy batteries.

I order mine from the company that made the laptop or newegg, its the only safe way.

yeah I know from experience here that they are pricey, but I was hoping that someone here would know of a decent after market product. Thanks just the same though.

I've been looking around Ebay for someone who looks like they might be trustworthy. Right now I am reviewing some guy named "batterymonster". He has a 98.9 positive review and seems most of his complaints are more along the lines of people ordering the wrong part. But the freaking guy has 75,000 sales so I think he must be ok.

Go take a look over there, some aftermarket batteries are better than the originals. If you can get one for alot less it might make it worth keeping that old dell.

btw- whats the model number for the machine?

Thanks man! I'll check that out. The dell is an inspirion 6000, but I don't have it with me so I'm unsure of the model. I'll check it out and post later. Cheers!

EDIT: Checked out battery monster and its $35-50 US. Definetly considering trying it out. Thanks again!

Typically a replacement battery should cost you no more than 80 dollars. batterymonster is an ok guy

Thanks for all you input everyone. I ordered the battery posted above by NYJim this morning. I'll let you all know how I make out with it when it arrives. Have a great weekend!

I think I am going to buy a couple of the more popular AC adaptors from him. Clients keep bringing over machines with dead ones and I end up sending them to Bestbuy or whatever.
