Figuratively, not literally :-)

Landlord hasn't paid his taxes so I can't get a 2016 business license. I called his office asking about it and he called me back. He basically said he wasn't going to pay the taxes for a few months and since I couldn't get my business license he wanted me to move out of my office. He said they would give me this month's rent back and I need to move out ASAP.

I personally think they are tired of me complaining about the water leaks in my office that they haven't fixed yet and this was an easy way of getting rid of me... Oh well.

So now I've started looking around for another office location.

Wish me luck :-)

I avoid business dealings with Lawyers and CPA's. I learned that the hard way in life.
I wish you the best of luck finding a new office.

Just to update this thread...

I did find me an office/retail location. All inspections are done, got my CO and business license today so I'm officially in business in my new location. It's about 6 miles from the previous place so I'm working on telling everyone where the new office is. The new office is on a main highway that has 22,000 cars per day pass by so I'm hoping that translates into more drive by customers. I'm still going to focus on small businesses and increasing my MSP clientele, but drive by break/fix and cell phone customers work too :-)

Did you have any sign or anything at the first location? I know you were just getting started. It might be beneficial to put a sign in the window there with the new address if possible. Though if you didn't actually provide service to anyone from there, then it's probably a moot point.

I did have a sign but it wasn't in a great location so I had very little walk in traffic. I will be putting a sign at the old location though because I have access to it.
