Can somebody actually confirm they have used the Windows 7 ISO it reinstall Windows 7 with an OEM (Acer in this case) sticker?

I don't have the Windows 7 and keep meaning to sign up to technet, I know I can buy an OEM Win 7 CD for myself but I not intending to upgrade my Vista setup yet.

Yes. You can use the technet ISO with the oem key. Sometimes it won't activate. In this case you may have to call into MS or Acer to activate.

You can backup the key and activation files/licenses so you shouldn't ever have to call to activate unless the hard drive is bad and you're replacing it. Vista is the same way.

If you are a Microsoft Partner, sign up for MAPS, it comes with TechNet and gives you licenses for use in your business. (if I remember correctly about it including TechNet)
