"It Worked Before"

I don't think being sued is very likely but the point stands that if you are both singing from the same hymn sheet from the start things are likely to work out better if it all goes Pete Tong.

This is why I go through my terms verbally with my clients rather than just them them sign them. Most people do not read terms but feel quite justified in getting angry when those terms work against them at a later date. But the same people won't go back on their word if they felt they were agreeing to something reasonable in the first place.

You know... aside from the fact this tech put a scanner on the system, and let the customer be the first to use it... You say it's out of space, when you cloned a smaller drive to a larger 1.5 terabyte drive. Did you put this new image on this new drive without the partition being enlarged to 1.5 terabytes?

What I am saying is this... You can clone a 50 gig drive over onto a 1.5 terabyte, but... then you have a 50 gig partition on a 1.5 terabyte drive. Is that what you did? Is that why he is running out of scratch space? hmmm.

What I tell them:

What I tell customers sometimes is (something like) this:

Your computer is a flower bed. Sometimes a weed (virus) gets in, and when you pull the weed out, it damages the flowers, and you have to re-plant or replace the flowers.

Not a perfect analogy, but most people seem to get it.
