Is this the correct Remote desktop license?

The server is a 2012R2 VM and I need two users to be able to login remotely, its all setup but the licensing will expire in 100 days or so... is this the correct license?

Or does R2 require different licensing from regular 2012?

That price looked suspiciously low, and if you look at the questions it's an Educational license CAL.

I did a little digging for URLs and submitted an update to the Amazon listing.

It lists the part number - 6VC-01765 - which is educational. That is why the price is so low.

My Dell rep sent me this:

SOFTWARE & ACCESSORIES

GROUP TOTAL: $290.37

VLA WINDOWS REMOTE DESKTOP SERVICES USER CAL 2012 (A7463608) X 2 $120.72 = $241.44

VLA IDENTITY MANAGER PER USER CAL 2016 (A8506990) X 3 $16.31 = $48.93

They can only buy in Qty of 5 from MS so the extra 3 are $50 of useless

That is typical with M$. They will require a minimum of 5 so will fill the unneeded quantity with filler which costs money. Seen that before.

I think that the correct stand alone license is 6VC-02095. The pricing above looks more legit.
