Hi, my tablet sd card started acting up now its not detected in my pc or anyplace else, I tested the adapter with another card and its fine, the card isn't even showing in disk management in the pc so I can't even reformat it. Might there be tools in linux or something that would fix it?

Boot up parted magic and see if it's detected in there. Parted magic has low level format tools if it can see it. I've revived a couple of my own flash drives by nuking them with a zero fill when they did the same (wouldn't show in windows, Linux saw them but couldn't mount or format them normally).

Goes without saying I hope that the data is forfeit in the process.

yeah I booted to it with ubuntu and its not detected, one less little project for me I guess, I've never had one dissapear like this. only loss is a old card :p

Well for a "one time" fix it may work ok. Obviously if the OP decided to use it further it would be wise to purchase a license.
But they probably already knew that.
