Intel Finds Major Flaw in Newest Computer Chips

Correct me if I am wrong, but was it due to the Sata 6Gb controller heating up that caused issues? or was it something else?

Intel recalled the P67 & H67 chipsets and all motherboards that shipped with them. The problem was that the SATA 3Gb/s ports degrade over time which causes a dipping performance and eventually complete loss of connection to the SATA device itself. SATA 6Gb/s ports are unaffected.
