Hello, I have a Intel 510T switch. I have been trying to console/telnet into it so I can configure it. I have been searching on Google for a few hours, and there is really nothing out there that tells me how to console into it. I did find this Intel Program called Intel Device View which was supposed to be the tool I needed to connect to it. I have also tried to use Hyperterm which did not work. I also tried to find the manual online with no luck.

but yea, I just need to know how to get consoled in.

Thanks in advanced! - Shane

I cant get the Intel device view to install, and I am sure thats because I am using Windows 7. I may have to setup a virtual machine with XP. Thanks for the link ile give it a try.

5 - Access Local Management

" Connect your PC directly to the Console
port using the included null modem cable.
" Set a VT100-compatible terminal emulation
program (such as HyperTerminal*) to these
parameters:
- 9600 baud - 8 data bits
- No parity - 1 stop bit
- No flow control
Press Enter to display Local Management.

Make sure you have the correct cable
