Imaging virus infected harddisk

This my my first post in the forum.
I would like to know about if I imaged virus infected harddisk, how will be going on after I restore this image.
Is it still infected system or not?

Yes it will definately still be infected once you restore the disk.

If you don't have a clean image you could restore the infected one, and then boot from a CD with an up to date antivirus. After you clean the infection you can get a new image so it's not a problem anymore.

I image infected disks all the time before I start work on them. Should you need to restore one, you are just restoring an exact copy of what you had in the begining.

DriveImage XML. Without a doubt the best imaging program I've ever used. Never once had a problem with it.

DriveImage XML seems to be the favorite. It's a powerful tool with a ton of features you wouldn't expect since it's free. I've tried out all the others and it looks like this is the best option.

DriveImage XML for me as well i have tried loads of different ones over the years but this is my new favourite.i also use Acronis on certain machines as thats what the customer has payed for and its on their pc so might as well use it.

On Clients PC's I use Norton Ghost, on my PC I have True Image installed, I mainly use it for backups, which is scheduled to run daily.

I haven't yet use DriveImage XML, but I'll definately give it a go.

DriveImage XML is good...but I prefer Acronis True Image, if for nothing else, the option of being able to back up a file or folder, as well a full drive. I used Ghost years ago...great for cloning, but it has fallen by the wayside, much like the rest of Symantecs software. With Ghost, I began having too many image corruption issues, and found their support to be lacking, trying to blame hardware, whether it was known to be in good working condition, or new out of the box.
