Does anyone have any experience with dealing with IBM Servers. I am trying to get some data off of it for a client. I believe it is running UNIX and it takes 15 minutes to reboot and I am getting very frustrated. A previous employer for the company put a password on it and there are tax records on there that need to be retrieved for the company's accountant. I started off by taking the 2 scsi ultra 320 80pin drives out and trying to find an adaptor to read the drive. I ordered a scsi 80 pin to 50 pin ide adaptor and then realized that I needed a 40 pin ide adaptor and the problem is I can't find one. Does anyone know at this point how I can boot up the machine and get into the bios so I can boot from a cd??? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to get the data off of these two drives??? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
