Funny. On a non funny note but still pertinent to the title. I had a client with a virus in their router today. It kept redirecting all the machines in their house. All the more reason to change default passwords people!

Forgive me but I believe the correct term is "Hacked" router..
A virus is a piece of code that is stored on a device and executed.
Routers have dedicated OS, embedded, with little storage space and so on.
Someone hacked the router and created a port forwarding or something similar... just a configuration which does not need an antivirus to sort out.

Actually it is possible for a virus to infilrate a router, at least some of them. I remember the Netcomm brand router Had a worm which infected it and it resided on a section of writable flash memory within it. It would infect routers of about 3 models unless the firmware was patched or default pass had been changed.
