A delivery from Amazon has been misplaced in transit.........
...First time it's happened to me. [emoji15]

I'm hoping for a scantily clad delivery-lady to prostrate herself at my feet, and beg forgiveness,......with a suitably sweaty outcome.

Nah, it will probably be some fat smelly git with a stained shirt, beer gut and half a fag hanging out the corner of his festering gob.

Grazed knuckles from excessive dragging with an incomprehensible growl as it struggles with the rudiments of language.

Darwin has a lot to answer for,.... Or your chosen deity,.... I'm easy.

Edit. It's a 200 GB micro SD card for my Nvidia Shield.

A few years ago I went through a patch where practically every other package was either lost, delayed or marked as delivered when it wasn't - it was caused by City Link and Amazon ended up not using them for my orders. After that, all well. :)

Had a bit of a wobble a few months ago, when Amazon Logistics took over. Started getting more delays/no shows, complained and they were getting a mauling online, but eventually it went back to normal, thank goodness. Frustrating though.

it was caused by City Link
City Link were dreadful. I used to place bets whether the parcels would turn up on the right day, if they turned up at all. Odds were about 50:50. In the end I stopped doing business with a number of suppliers who used City Link.

DPD/Interlink Express are the most reliable I find, closely followed by UPS and Parcel Force. Amazon aren't too bad now, but when they first started using their own 'Amazon Logistics' a while ago, they were pretty poor. I think they had too few delivery drivers delivering too many parcels. They seem to have expanded their army of illegal immigrants though now, who I must say do an excellent job. Awful job for little pay; I certainly wouldn't want to do it.

When Amazon do mess up, make sure you let them know, they'll usually give you a free one-month Prime extension. I think I probably ended up with a whole year of Prime for free because of lost/late parcels while they were still getting their act together with their own delivery service.

In fairness to City Link they taught me painfully how to safely package items so that they wouldn't be smashed to pieces and I have been able to pass that experience on over the last 20 years!

Update.
Amazon refunded the money,...... Just a few hours after the bloody thing turned up.

Did I own up to Amazon ?
Whaddaya think ! [emoji48]
