I have being trying to find a solution for the past few days. I have a client with a HP MFP3530.
It 's hired and they came in and installed the printer but never installed the scanner which is on the device. I don't what to let them touch the systems again as they had disabled the backup software, messed up Kaspersky and stopped a lot of apps from starting.
The office has 3 Windows 7 x64 system. There is no driver for the scanner for W7x64. I have tried they Windows Vista and XP driver both fail to install the device. Reading multiply articles it seems there was never a driver for W7x64 created
It's a peer to peer network. a small estate agents. who don't need a server.
Has anyone else come across this and found a solution.
The printer firm also installed the devices as a DHCP IP address not static so I expect to see problems when the router get rebooted. - That is a phone call tomorrow to tell them.
I had nothing to do with the purchase/lease of the printer.
