Hello everyone

I have a customer for years that has been making greetings cards for his friends and family. He was using an old computer and the hard drive failed

Thankfully I had made a backup of his documents last year for him

He has early signs of dementia and would like to open the greetings cards that he created in the past but cannot tell me the name of the software he used

The file extension is .prs

I am looking for a viewer at least or a programme that will allow me to open the cards. It is more for him to reflect on the past creations

Thanks Jason

Google says Harvard Graphics - Does THIS page help?

I've seen several greeting card programs in my years of doing residential work. Typically greedy programs that tried to be proprietary with their file formats and version support. If you have access to the failed hard drive, maybe you can get some clues about what the program was and go from there.

Many thanks I have found a copy of Harvard Graphics but it is too old to run on Windows 10 - I have a feeling it may be something like Corel Draw. Still hunting around. The old drive is dead but I do think we may have a FABS backup that may have a desktop backup so at least I may be able to get some clues

Hello everyone, many thanks for all your replies. I will have a look at libre office again. I have not been that active on this forum for a while as you can no doubt see. My father died in April this year after a short and difficult cancer diagnosis and also I have had a lot of customer deaths to deal with this year with Covid and just elderly clients. My customer base here in France is older and it has just been one of those years.
