Not strictly computer related but I'm a tech, you're all techs and I need help so I think I'm OK to post this in here but mods please move if you disagree.

The question - what (preferably free) software can I use to clone a drive that uses the XTV File System?

The background:

Our Sky+HD box is intermittently faulty so I've acquired a new one (DRX890WL-C) and decided to put a new drive in it before putting it into service rather than transfer my existing drive over because it's been operational 24/7 for a few years now.

I upgraded my existing box from a 500GB drive to a 2TB WD Green and I've got a new 2TB WD Purple to go in my new box, so it should just be a straight, easy cloning operation - but from what I've read, it may not be.

For work on PC drives I use either Macrium Reflect 6.0 or Clonezilla and, although I haven't actually tried either of them yet for fear of causing problems, I'm led to believe that they won't work with the XTV file system found in Sky boxes and other PVRs. Maybe it's me being thick but if that's correct, why? Surely all the stuff on a drive is just ones and zeros, irrespective of the machine it's running on?
