Why are holidays such an incredible pain in the Arsenal ?

I mean....
I tried winding down last week, just as the number of calls increased !

Then we have madam and her boyfriend moving back home for house sitting duties. However we had to transport all their belongings, plus his Work PC and his 3 monitors. [emoji15]

Then the inevitable ructions as she criticises our tidiness (fair point), and all the work she will do whilst we are away,..... And what she will charge !

Also the boss is anxious as she is in the dark over where I am taking her (NY [emoji3]), and what she needs to take.

I think I need a holiday, to recover from the preparations for this holiday.

..... And... And. With just a few hours to go, my guts take a bad turn and I start gassing people. So I'm relegated to the downstairs sofa.

Update.
Madams boyfriend needs to have something to listen to whilst going asleep (don't ask), so I'm kicked back upstairs to the back bedroom, and I have to lug a couple of mattresses downstairs for them.

The boss in the upstairs front bedroom oblivious.... And snoring and no doubt gassing.

AND it's Halloween with all the kids doing their best to shatter our front door, wielding threats of extortion that would easily grace any legal court at any other time of year.

One day, they will notice the strange device called a DOORBELL, which actually works.
......And taking all of my sweets. Little gits!

A friend of ours had a good idea, a throwback to the golden age of chivalry and knighthood.
Pots of molten metal thrown out the upstairs window, or, even better, fully filled chamber pots.

Or, really go to town with dry ice, lighting, thunderclaps and lots of screaming to REALLY scare the living daylight savings out of them.

Explanatory edit.
The last section is actually garbage. I have a luminous skeleton called Eric, who I hang from the tree outside the house. He spends the rest of the year inside a cupboard in my office.
Sweets at the ready. Most kids actually make an effort,...... And we used to be one of those parents trudging around the neighbourhood with our own little darling.
Oh happy days. [emoji6]
