I passed a LegalShield billboard on the freeway this morning. I looked up their website and they underwrite memberships at a monthly rate similar to what auto/medical insurance companies do for consumers. This seems more cost effective when compared to normal retaining fees that an attorney's office charges. I put in for a quote and a request for more information but was wanting your opinions as far as any legal protection you have + cost. Got to cover your assets and investments.

These are provided from prepaid legal. Its typically $45 I believe for business, and $26 for personal.

When I had it for personal, it was good. But if you get sued, or need to sue, you still have to pay out. Yes a 25% discount, but the cost is still there.

There are benefits, like being able to call them anytime you have a question.

Not only do I have it, and have I used it, but I also resell the service.

Legal Shield has worked out for me quite a bit. I know it's not for everyone, but it got me out of a bind with a nice auto accident, and has prevented me from being sued in the first place.

I also know people that have used the service to prep themselves so that they can go to court without a lawyer. In this case, saved her the money she would have paid out in the first place.

I haven't had to use them in court, so I haven't experienced the discount portion of it, but I'm sure that service works just as well.

i have it and the benefits generally depend on the law firm assigned to you

but being able to call in any time and ask something legal is worth it for me, also i can have them review documents etc;

i dont have the business plan, but im considering it since as a business i want to be protected from lawsuits since i am an llc

Exactly.

Plus, if you go out of state thyat law firm is there for you as well.

Any state or province the service is offered in, you're covered while you're there.
