Google will release Chrome 58.0.3029.96 in the coming days and weeks, and as part of this update, the company plans to move some of its 32-bit users to Chrome's 64-bit version.
The company's decision will affect users of 32-bit Chrome running on 64-bit Windows, with 4GB or more of memory.
Google says the decision to automatically migrate these users to Chrome 64-bit comes in order to improve stability, performance, and security.
Other 32-bit Chrome users that don't fall in this category, will remain on their existing Chrome installation. 32-bit Chrome will still be available via the Chrome download page, and Google will continue to develop a 32-bit version of Chrome.
