I like the general concept. Get the router off the floor behind the desk and out into the environment it supports. Make it more than just a one trick pony by adding a lamp or speaker or ?? And the directional range boost is smart as well. Make it easy for people to point it in the direction they need best coverage.

I'd like to see Amazon's Echo incorporate stuff like this, like wifi extension, voice pairing, etc.

The way we do in home and SOHO wifi is past due for an overhaul.
