Google domain registration services now available to all in the U.S.

I previewed the beta version and it seems pretty decent. Thought it would be great to post in the forums so everyone can check out.

Apart from Google extending their reach ...

Is this for domain registration only, or is there an element of hosting involved, too? From your Techspot link:

Pricing is fairly typical, starting at $12 per month. Google will provide you with the domain name alongside private registration, support for up to 100 subdomains, domain forwarding and email forwarding to Gmail.

EDIT: Doesn't appear they're actually doing the hosting, but rather through their "partners". Name registration alone is $12 per year, not per month.

Better, but not a bargain. I suppose brand awareness will carry them along.
