OK, So I decided to try and setup my gmail account in windows live mail with win 7.
I have gone with a pop3 account setup.
I have entered in exactly the right information for the email properties for the account according to the google gmail instructions.
I have tried disabling avast home and downloading and running the gmail pop troubleshooter application.
The information gathered from that said "Negotiate SSL - Socket Error1. The remote host closed the connection".
This is the exact error I am getting everytime I try and send/receive.
Unable to send or receive messages for the Gmail (tfpcservices) account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Server: 'pop.gmail.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure(SSL): Yes
I have searched for over 2 hours now for a solution. I have tried everything I can think of.
The only other thing could be maybe the router maybe.
Anyone help with a billion BIPAC VOIP?
Regards,
