Free alternative to fabs auto backup

The free version of Easeus PC Transfer may indeed work good (or "well", as we say in English) but it's only licensed for personal use and is deliberately crippled compared to the technician version, which costs US$399.

If saving €45 is more important than your time or the success of your business then let me introduce you to Robocopy. It's free and licensed for technician use, but you you may need to put a bit more work in than if you use Fab's AutoBackup. But, you know... free!

There's a narrow line between frugality and cheapness, and you're in danger of crossing it. Please reconsider.

There is transwiz, but as I'm sure folks will quickly point out, it too is only free for personal use. I have tried it in the past and it seemed to do a good job. I didn't pursue the matter because it didn't seem to do anything quicker or better than FABs - which, as everyone says, is well worth the money.

Raise your rates. If you can't afford the 50 or so bucks for FABS then it is time to go back to delivering pizza. I'm all for saving a buck or two but sometimes you just have to pay for the proper tools to do the job. The amount of time you save, plus the consistency of work(no forgetting to grab something) pays for the program in a day.

Lol. People already complain my rates are to high. On average I charge $140 for a reload then 45 if they want there data migrated. I have a copy of fabs I bought off eBay about 2 years ago for 10 bucks or so that works great. I was simply asking if there any free alternatives that people use that I wasn't aware of.

I know demographics plays a big part of pricing but if most of the people in your area use budget computers of course they are going to complain about the repair cost. Computers cost the same for everyone in the US for example. The price for a new computer (same model) is the same in all 50 states no matter what the wages are in that state.

If the cost to repair a 5yr old (home user's)computer is about half of what a (equal or better)replacement would cost of course they will complain and be justified in not fixing it and replacing it.

Not everyone here has an abundance of clients that own $1000 computers and have money to burn fixing them. Or can just pick up and move their families somewhere with "better" clients.

Is there any other free alternatives to fabs? Easeus pctransfer seems to work good.
Your trolling right? Or at least joking? Seriously, why on earth would you consider a free alternative when there just isn't any? Your cost in purchasing Fabs is meaningless compared to what you will make using it, let alone the time saved. Do you know how much money I have made using Fabs? Thousands - plural......

To put it bluntly, and @Bryce W or @Kraken may edit this, @fabs is the s.h.i.t .. period.

I just got my copy of Fabs, and realized, I didn't buy it yet. What I got seems to be the trial version. I'm going to buy the license on Monday for it. The conversion seems to be 53.60 US for me to get it, and I feel that's a great price for a technician license. Looks to be a great piece of kit, and far better than the way I do it now. Why look elsewhere?

If you walk into Best Buy, Office Depot/Office Max here in Hawaii you will notice that the in-store price is approximately 5% higher than their online price. I guess that to pay for the shipping across the ocean.

They will price match the online price so no loss there. However the vast majority of residents here are not aware of price matching and simply pay the asking price.
