Who uses what? I'm looking at a good service for my clients and I've come across the following informaiton.

Dropbox: 2 TB for 9.99 a month one user
Sync.com 3TB for 9.99 a month One User
OpenDrive: Unlimted TB for 9.95 a month upto 4 users.

Has anyone ever used or heard of OpenDrive? How good are they? I'm looking for something similar to Dropbox and Google Drive. Looks like they are that and a bit more.

Before moving mostly to all O365 apps (OneDrive/Teams)...did a bit of OwnCloud (and then Datto had it for a while as Datto Drive..but they switched to something else).

I wanted to resell Onedrive personally but I just can't seem to get around the fact that unless I do exchange hosting along with it, their login will be User@name.onmicrosoft.com The client can go to Office365.com themselves and use "user@gmail.com" or "user@company.com" email and bypass me altogether.

Yeah for the small percentage of businesses that aren't on O365....that's where we used OwnCloud/DattoDrive.
Datto replaced it with Autotask Workplace...which I'm not as fond of.
Luckily most of our clients (all business clients) are on O365 by now...so utilizing OD4B is easy.

Yea, I had a conversation with them when Autotask was it's own company. They only gave you 50gb of storage and their reasoning was "Who would ever need more than that?" You were also required to buy licenses in batches of 25 which I didn't like. Is OwnCloud still around or was that a Datto owned thing and they got rid of the project all together?

It is getting hard (profitable for the hassle) to be the middle man (reseller) and stay competitive with all the choices for cloud backup now.

It is in deed. My company offers a password manager, and a vpn service as well. What I've opted to do is just recommend the product, and let the client go directly to them to buy it. I make my money by selling a service of provisioning the program on all their machines and educating them on how to use the service. Much easier to do it that way.

There is NextCloud, which I believe was forked from OwnCloud when Datto bought it. Very popular for self hosting. There are different hosting providers available for it if you want to go that direction.

Personally, I use Dropbox all day everyday. Works perfectly for my wife and I. It just works and works well. A "brand name" no-brainer for us.

True. I have 5 TB of storage on Dropbox. The only issue I was trying to figure out is how to sell it. Unless I have a business client that wants at least three licenses, i can't sell it myself. That being said, if I can't sell it, I loose my 5TB account since it's a "Demo" account for resellers. Since most of my clients are one man operations they have no need for 3 different users.
