Ok so first a quick story.

I was doing a win xp to win 7 switch over and everyone was getting new laptops. A friend said they really liked windows easy transfer so I gave that program a shot. It was okay except their where some issues and one did not work so I had to redo the transfer of info.

One thing I liked a lot was that it did have the option for a transfer of info over the network to the new machine so I just started all the machines ran the program and started the transfers. Gotta say it was really nice being able to do a machine in like ten min.

My question is has anyone been able to do this with fabs and if not is it a possible feature that can be added to fabs?

It would be awesome if we could have fabs run on both computers and just do a quick transfer over the network from one pc to another.

The new Fabs 5 now in beta test (I'm one of the beta testers) will do a transfer. Just used it to transfer the data from a dead PC's slaved HD directly to the new PC. (With Fabs 4, you have to do a backup and then a restore.)

Don't know when Fabs 5 will be released, there are still some outstanding items.

Did one xp to windows 7 with easy transfer and all went well yesterday. Then did a windows 7 to windows 7 with easy transfer and did not transfer the mails so guess am going to use fab's and try that

Had one a while back just knock off half way through every single time.

I like fabs because of the simplicity of the program and efficiency but their are some nice neat features i wish where implemented.
