Another reason I don't use MS browsers.

If you are a Windows user, you must have observed, Microsoft Edge browser displays “Where to next?” screen by default whenever you launch the browser. In addition to it, the browser now displays ‘Sponsored’ ads. The change can be noticed in versions of Windows that have the latest build of Windows 10 Creators Update installed.

Edge & IE display Sponsored Ads
I don’t know if this is something new, but we just noticed that when you open Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer browser on your Windows 10 Creators Update v1703 PC you will see the Top sites & News Feed tab with Sponsored ads, alongside what’s Next screen. The latter as you know lets you enter your search phrase or web address. The former is a new experiment. Also, you will see Microsoft ads like Get Office 365 as well as several 3rd-party ads.

It seems like most companies these days are testing to see how far they can push things until enough people complain. Then they can say it was just an experiment and not something they planned to do. Soon it might be a reason I don't use MS at all anymore.

It's too bad Edge doesn't have the edge over Opera, Chrome or even something tiddely like Firefox. Microsoft Edge messes up big time with Imported Bookmarks, e.g. in that after shutting down and booting backup, some of the Imported Folders have been emptied etc.
I seriously tried that Browser for over a week and before I went totally over the edge, I gave it up and came back home to Chrome. It was an emotional moment but we're friends again. Yeoooooohhhh!!!

There are a few things I'd like to be able to try Edge for, but I can't because it's locked up hard on my only Win10 box. There is no reset as there is for IE, I have no intention of creating (and moving to) a new profile just for Edge, and I haven't tried the Powershell scripting to force removal and reinstallation.

Maybe I should call Microsoft. Can I find their number on Google?
