i know that it needs to update a driver....but my problem is I don't know where to find the exact driver..I also don't know the card reader's manufacturer.....:(

I wasn't able to see the screenshot but if using the update driver button in device manager didn't work for you.. also visit your computer manufacturer's web site (unless custom built) for instance if you have a dell computer go to their site and find the driver downloads. Type in the model of your computer and it should list all the drivers you need for that model.

yes I'd been finding the manufacturer's website but to no avail...have you heard about APEX FL31? Yes....it's my laptop....it's a poorman's laptop...:) well but it does pretty good in my everyday task...it's pretty fast for the usual office tasks.....i'm trying out knuckle's advice but the thing is that my winrar trial version expired..... I think I'm really running out of luck....

My 2 cents worth of drivers

Being a Computer Tech I want to do a good and quick job on site and in the shop on the bench. So I was looking around to find something to help me complete the task of locating updated drivers. What I found was get the system on the internet and check out driveragent yep that was one of the best $30.00 bucks I ever spent for a year subscription. Helps me update drivers for my customers system and it gives you the download site for them. With the correct and updated driver it helps the system to run better. Check it out and I would recommend it for any Technician it will help you finish your task quicker...

Lol sorry idiot_savant

You can try TUGZip: (http://www.tugzip.com/) or 7Zip: (http://www.7-zip.org/)
Their both freeware hopefully they can be of use to you.

Goodluck

LOL Thanks a lot......I already got 7zip....I never thought of it....but I have already burned the ISO file to a CD....now I can't wait to get home to fix my laptop ...............................thanks....I'm really learning from this forum, hope someday I'll be as good as you people......:D

hello guys it's me again...I found the PCI device manufacturer using PCISniffer...I went to their website and downloaded the drivers....but still my driver wont update....and another strange thing happened....my Bison webcam again failed to function....a message popped up telling me that the Bison webcam was plugged into a slow USB....it says that the wencam needs to be plugged into a highspeed USB ......how could this be happening? Could it be the PCI device with the question mark did it?

Make sure your webcam doesn't require USB 2.0 to function properly. Older computers don't have USB 2.0 or they just have one port available for it. I had a similar problem with my scanner.

You can upgrade this by buying a USB adapter card that installs into your PC card slot for the laptop..if not in use.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP GUYS BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I FOUND THE SOLUTION....AH WHY DIDN'T I THOUGHT OF THIS SOLUTION:mad: IT TOOK ME WEEKS TO FIX IT AND JUST FOUND OUT THAT IT ONLY NEEDS A SP2 FIRST BEFORE INSTALLING ALL THE DRIVERS IN THE CD SUPPLIED.....WHAT I DID IS REFORMAT THE DISK, INSTALLED SP2, THEN INSTALLED DRIVERS IN THE CD AND PROBLEM'S GONE......:D NOW I'M LEARNING.....AGAIN THANKS TO YOU GUYS YOUR SUGGESTIONS ARE NOW IN MY KNOWLEDGE BOX...:)
