Hi,
As much as I've worked on servers it has not been a lot and most of my medium size businesses I service are either on workgroups or on domains but have other companies to handle the servers. I mainly perform the desktop maintenance and everything that has to do with the hardware and software itself on the desktops.
I have an opportunity to go to a course for Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2008. That said, I'm certainly no server expert. I am wondering here if I should learn 2003 first then go for a 2008 course.
I've installed 2003 in the past, but only personally. I would say I only know it on an intermediate to amateur level. I don't have confidence in my abilities on servers yet. My last MCSE certification was on NT 4.0 back in 98 - 99.
Basically my question is this: Can I learn 2008 without learning 2003 first will I be missing some information so that when I go to companies with 2003 I won't know what to do? I have no idea how different it is.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
