Do Any AV Products Not Require Registration?

One of the reasons I've been using Norton products for the last few years is that it never really nagged you to complete the registration and create a Norton account. I tend to stay away from McAfee and Trend Micro in the past because of those reasons, but with their 2012 product, Norton is getting more pushy.

I was wondering what the TN community does for this. I was thinking one option was to have me create an account and I'd have access to all of my customers product keys (which I do now anyway). I would imagine all of the AV manufacturers are going this one, but which ones tend to nag you less?

Kaspersky doesn't MAKE you create an account -- you are given the option to do so during install, but I always just skip.

Here in New Zealand the Eset Nod32 AV distributor gives us our own control panel where we can see all licenses ever sold.
When they are due for renewal etc.
It's so easy to buy new licenses or increase/decrease existing licenses or renew them.
Other than our registering as an Eset reseller there is no need for the end user to register and there are no nag screens. All the end user needs is a username & password, which are automatically created when we create a new license, and a link to download the software.

vipre don't make you create an account as a matter of fact, you handle the renewels for you customers so you get a little extra money from that :)

How have you liked Vipre? How does it compare to others with accuracy and effect on system (resources, etc?).

I am looking for an AV to resell so any info would be appreciated!

We love it!!!

it barely uses any system resources, from the information i gather it is using the same engine as malware bytes on the malware side

it seems to work great, and my customers have asked to have it installed on other machines that they have had issues with

i also love it because i can manage with my MSP platform

download it and try it out for 30 days i don't think you will look back

krtechsolutions,

Assuming I will like the product, does Vipre have any sales volume requirements to become a partner/reseller? I had looked into ESET but they require approx $500/month in sales to become a reseller/partner.

Thanks for the info!

+1 for being a great AV that is what I use and sell as well and there are no minimum sales requirements.

Last time I looked they only offered a 15 day trial now though.
