Dell Premier Partner Woes

I just posted a similar comment on reddit /r/sysadmin, but I was curious to see if any nibblers have had the same issues.

I have been astonished at how poor my experience has been as a premier partner recently. It took around 4 months to place a $30k order. We would talk with sales staff and iron out what we needed only to find the quotes we received were wildly off target. When we finally did get the order placed, they sent us 2 HBAs that wouldn't fit in the servers they shipped (we needed half height HBAs and they shipped full height).

We placed the order back in October, NET 30, and never received an invoice. Getting a hold of the people we worked with when we placed the order to see what was going on was nearly impossible. During one attempt I got routed through the bowels of their phone menu system and finally hung up when the agent on the phone asked "I understand you're having trouble with your tablet?" When I did finally get a hold of someone they stated that we had no outstanding balance. As enticing as it was to ignore their mistake, after all this hassle, my conscience wouldn't allow me to use the equipment without paying for it, so I persisted. Just this week they finally found the Invoices for my order and when they e-mailed them over I found that they were assigned to a different customer entirely. Wrong company name, account #, billing address, everything.

I've been trying to place a new order for 2 months now. Each and every time they send a quote over it's for a billing and shipping address that we haven't had for over 8 years. My numerous requests to update this information have gone unanswered and we continue to receive quotes for the parts we need to the wrong billing and shipping address. Each time I try to get them to send me a new quote to the correct address we wait for about a week only to receive a near identical quote to the wrong address.

We've been a Dell shop for a long time now, but my patience is really wearing thin at this point. I have a hard time believing we're just an edge case, so I don't see how they can continue to operate like this if they're letting $30k receivables slip through the cracks.

Are there any other premier partners who have experienced anything similar?
