I got this laptop earlier today that the client states that the screen gets fuzzy and jumps around some. However I cannot get it to "mess up". I was wondering if a cable connection to the screen was loose but after opening up the case to look at the connections they all appear to have a strong connection.

Any suggestions on what else it could be. Company doesn't want to throw away the laptop if it could be a simple fix.

Does it "mess up" when under load or pure random? Discrete or integrated graphics? Stress the thing with Prime95 and/or
Aida64 and see what happens.

Seems like it is just random. I know that she isn't using the laptop for much more than running internet and Microsoft office. I am stressing with prime95.

When going to the website the screen did just flicker at me.

I went looking for the post that mentioned the LVDS connector on the MB having bent pins but couldn't find it quickly. Anyway, check that connector with a magnifying glass to see if they have been bent so the cable connector doesn't make full contact. I also came across the following that may suggest other things to check:
Graphic problems like that are usually due to (in approximate order of frequency, in my experience) a faulty screen, faulty or poorly connected video cable, GPU problems, bad memory/memory sockets, or bad memory attached to the MB). I can't remember the time it was caused by software, though it can happen. Video problems can also be due to a LVDS connector whose pins have become bent/weak and on longer make good contact.

I would suggest booting a Linux live CD/flash drive to eliminate software as the cause.
