Customer changed exel file possible to recover previous version?

Customer changed an excel file and messed up some values then saved it is it possible to recover the previous version?.
Was saved to mapped synology nas.

nothing listed under previous versions.
was set up by someone else snapshot replication not installed, seems clouldstation server was installed as well as hyperbackup.
The file was directly saved to the nas don't have any experience with Synology NAS but I'm guessing snapshot replication needs to be installed and turned on?
Was not formatted in Btrfs .

If Hyperbackup was installed (and configured correctly) this might be of some assistance:

Otherwise you're probably SOL. Best thing to do is to get them into a good backup solution that does re-visioning. (people always assume backup is just in case their computer dies but it's actually for so much more.)

This is what backups are for, or at very least enabling shadow copies on server shares.

i looked and found that there were files in cloudstation directory that had versioning and hyper backup backups had the file took a little looking around for documentation all it came with was a quick setup guide.
Looked up videos on youtube there was a lot of information.
