Credit Card Payments

I dont use Quickbooks currently, but from what I understand GoPayment does tie in easily. You can prob verify this on intuits website.

I tried linking my QuickBooks to my GoPayments account and they wanted $20/mo. I would be able to process credit cards from QB, but I only wanted the ability to download transactions. As far as I can tell, there is no way to do this without paying for Intuit's regular merchant account.

I hear you. Also, there are other monthly fees that seem to pop up when using Quickbooks solutions. I was using the GoPayment device and Quickbooks. The fees and monthly cost were killing me. So, I am using a merchant account through our local credit union. The fee rate is around 1.5% and $20 a month, which gives me flexibility to accept nearly every credit card imaginable. Its not an integrated solution, which would be preferred, but it saves me some money.

I use SquareUp.com for on-site payments. For online payments I accept PayPal, Google Checkout and credit card payments. Credit card payments are manually done and I use Intuit's GoPayment for that -- you can process them online as part of your free merchant account without having to have the CVV code off the back of the card.

I also added eCheck processing to my Intuit account for $9.95/mo as I live in a very rural area and my bank is over 100 miles away, it processes in 3 days rather than 10 days depositing by mail. I just add the eCheck processing terms to my invoices that are part of the payments stub they send in so when they send in a payment they automatically agree to the terms and I have a copy of it.

does anyone know of a credit card processor that allows you to use a USB card swiper on a laptop or netbook?
