convert ost to pst

we have a client that used to log into an an exchange where he no longer has the password. So when staring outlook it says, cannot open the outlook window, the set of folders cannot be opened. the attempt to log into exchange has failed. Is there any was to convert the OST file to a PST file so he has access to the cached email?

Like maybe to get email from an employer account he no longer has because he's no longer an employee there? I would be careful about enabling anything sketchy. That being said, you'll have to buy a tool to do the OST-to-PST conversion. Not expensive, but necessary. I don't know of any free options. I can't quite recall the name of the tool we used the last time this came up - I'll bet @callthatgirl has a recommendation...

does that convert it to a pst? as far as I can tell we just need the $49 version?

Ya, converts to PST among other formats. The $49 version should suffice, though I think we picked up a tech license.
