Solution: nuke & pave.

Client uses Scrivener to write books. We had it set up to save to OneDrive a long time ago. She got rid of OneDrive and replaced it with DropBox awhile ago. All of a sudden she doesn't have permission to save anywhere - locally, externally on a HDD, DropBox. I set it so that when you close the program it automatically backs up to DropBox - this works without error. So strange. Can't manually back it up anywhere at all. Permissions look fine. Ran as administrator. What to do?

Uninstalled OneDrive. Gave it a tune-up (dism, sfc, chkdsk, temp files, Glary Utilities). Created a new user profile. Still doesn't work right. Can save as a zipped folder, but that folder cannot be opened or extracted for some reason. She wants to save it unzipped, but the computer keeps saying there's a permission issue. She is going to try re-installing her program. If we can't get it sorted out, I will just nuke and pave with a fresh copy of Win 11 (she has 10).
