The C: 120GB SSD drive was down to 2% free space. Outlook wouldn't play balls hence I got to investigate.
He's been getting space shortage warnings for quite some time but just ignored them.
The pst file was in Documents\Outlook Files in the user account folder. Relocated the Documents folder to the 2TB D: empty drive. Ran scanpst at the new location 3 times to make sure it's fine, got minor errors detected with repair option greyed out at fourth attempt.
Starting Outlook generates the expected 'can't find...' - browse and select the correct file at the new location
Outlook seems happy and starts Send & Receive.
Then comes up with error that the tasks couldn't complete and indeed no new messages in the Inbox.
Went to do scanpst again and notice that the initial file suggested still points to the C:\Users\...\Documents\...
Looks like something's stuck somewhere to create this problem.
How do I clear that?
sfc /scannow nor an in-place upgrade didn't help.
The account repair in outlook didn't help either.
Or is it an Outlook profile corruption thing here?
