I am setting a wireless network in a small office network, it will consist of 2 cisco aironet 1600 ap's and a wlc 2500 series. I want to be able to set up the ap's with the same ssid and password on different channels. Not sure on how to set the ap's to be able to do this. Is there a specific mode that they need to be set to or command that needs to be implanted in the wlc? Thanks for the suggestions and help

Wouldn't you be using the Cisco Assistant Network Manager? Single GUI interface to manage the network, it's free.

In which case you should be able to manage each individual AP from there. I'm a few years out of playing with Cisco stuff, but all the current generation wireless managers I use now (mostly Ubiquiti) easily allow you to do this.
