In the past we added a facebook messenger popup on our website. It worked well. If the person had messenger it sent the message flawlessly to my phone with messenger. If they did not have messenger they had to create an account or just use another way to get a hold of us. At some point facebook allow clients without messenger to send a message and could respond back for 24 hours. We have found these people never respond and I feel like they are left hanging. We would like to add a different chat client, ideally one that works with sms on their side so if we respond the next day they will get it. As opposed to if we install a standard chat client, they will only get the response back if they go to our website and check the chat box manually. Ant solutions or ideas would be great. Thanks!
