Change 1: Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium are all getting 100gb mailboxes.
Change 2: Defender for O365 Plan 1 is added to O365 E3 and M365 E3, bringing advanced anti-phishing and anti-spam to E3 users.
Change 3: Intune Plan 2, plus Remote Help, and Advanced Analytics is coming to M365 E3
Change 4: Intune Suite and Intune Plan 2 are now part of M365 E5
Change 5: Security Copilot are now part of M365 E5

Along with these changes, prices on every core M365 subscription is going up effective July 1st, 2026. This includes non-profit and government licensing channels.

I saw the prices on another site awhile ago, I forgot to keep it, but I think Business standard is now going to be $16.50 a month. That's the most popular one I help clients set up. Basic is #2 but addin the 100 gig mbx will be great. Now I get to explain how in-place works more 😅

>95% of our clients on M365 Biz Prem...and a good handful of users do have mailboxes > 50 gigs....so it's a very slight loss of income for us, but good for clients.

I don't think we have anyone left on Office 365 plans....didn't think those legacy SKUs were still around. Back when the NCE licensing kicked in a few years ago we migrated everyone.

@YeOldeStonecat You can spin it though... because you now have Copilot for Business, which is cheaper than usual copilot but locked to a Business SKU as an upgrade, as well as the Defender and Purview suites for Premium you can look at to turn that $8 / month into something more. Otherwise, it looks like Exchange Online Plan 2 is still required for litigation hold, and Exchange Archiving... the latter comes with Premium.

The game of license alignment continues!
