haha, suckas!

I'm going to post what I've done this year, but I have 2 marketing things I'm doing as I am opening a 2nd location in June.

Remember, I am doing things from my original location that worked best at the 2nd location...speaking gigs. I already have 4 booked for new location and I haven't even hard launched yet, just soft launched (((teaser))).

Speaking engagements work people.

So where do you suggest we do these speaking events? How does one get invited to do a speaking event??? Help us out Lisa :) please !!! :)

So I have a question, typically what percentage of your revenue goes back into marketing budget?

Cookies, donuts and coffee. That will draw in a crowd to any speaking event.

I have been thinking about having a speaking event at out local coffee shop. I would invite the local chamber members and maybe a few prospective clients. My only problem is deciding what topics I want to cover, and what products and services I want to talk about.

Nope, I just posted it and forgot to come back! No bad intentions here folks.

Here is what I have done this year so far...and I have pretty much a zero budget for these things.

Speaking gigs bring in tons of money. To speak to one group from 5-80 people is a great audience who can take home your card and will remember you, they just listened to you for an hour.

I speak about computer safety, social media and general computer Q&A. Some folks just want a hot tech in their hands.

How to find these people? Go to the networking group managers and offer to come speak for a bit, free, no charge. Unless you are an avid social media person, you have to find them. They cannot find you. I happen to get a lot of social media attention, so I get asked to come speak. I have started charging for LinkedIn workshops onsite.
