Buffalo LS-WXTL NAS backup over web?

I have a new residential customer who is a photographer. They have 2 of these units previously purchased and never used - they are new in the box. I'm wondering if anyone has this unit and knows if I can successfully setup a sync from one to the other over the web.

For business customers, I'd use a Synology - but I know the customer wants to use these if possible. I've read the manual and they talk about ftp access, but don't come right out and say you can do what I'm after.

Does anyone have first-hand experience with these units?

No first had experience but p73 of the manual has instructions on 'Configuring LinkStation # 2 to use LinkStation # 1 as a backup destination' where you put in the IP of tha backup target. Not sure what port numbers are used though..
