Bought a HP M8200N with vista, reformatted to XP, but the drivers are made for vista.

As per HP there are no drivers for XP. If that's true then you should install Vista, tweak it and enjoy Vista like I do. ;)

That is a very powerful machine and should do quite nicely with Vista, especially Home Premium SP1.

The problem is that I dont see a driver set for the MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) board, I see similiar boards but I dont recommend force fitting drivers from older boards, they might work but be unstable and not talk to all components or have the same hooks as needed in the new mobo.

You may have to mix and match by going to nvidia for the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 stuff, audio elsewhere, etc.

Specifics on the board are here:

Had the same thing happen with a Dell laptop. Wanted to load it with XP and did but then went to download XP drivers and there were none. Called Dell and said I was SOL and there were no XP drivers for that laptop.
