Hi
I have a windows xp home computer. Was getting BSOD back and fourth from that to the safe mood window. Will not load into safe mode. No just loops rebooting do u think its a MBR issue? Thanks eric

did a chkdsk and it said it found errors rebooted and I get the same thing window comes up says we apologiz for the inconvenience but windows did not shut down properly boot menu for safe mode, no matter which one i choose just loops back to same screen. I was able to slave the drive and get the data off of it though

the bsod only comes up after it reboots 20 or so times its usually just doing the reboot loop into the boot menu screen but I do remember one of the stop errors was something like (0.0000050)

Is it rebooting over and over into safe mode?

Did you try to force safe mode to load from msconfig, some malware programs erase the safe mode keys in the registry or block safe mode from loading, if you forced it to load safe mode from msconfig you will have to edit the boot.ini file. never force safe mode this way unless you know the computer is malware free.

If it is rebooting from a BSOD so fast that you can't read it hit F8 and select don't reboot on error.

yes i tired to load safe mode but it does not load it just reboots back to the boot menu screen again. when the bsod pops up it stays on but it has only come up 2 or 3 times most of the time its just rebooting looping to the boot menu then rebooting again. I replaced the memory everything else i on the mobo

If you didn't try to force safe mode?

If you did not try to force safe mode then I would try a live CD, if it loads and runs then you will know it is a software problem, if the live CD doesn't run then you will know it is a hardware problem.

You should check to see if there are any bulging or leaking capasators on your motherboard can be a cause of reboots or motherboard is damaged
