best setup for a data recovery rigg

im dedicating a old unused machine for data recovery and cant decide what to use for a os

should i add knoppix onto it for a quick backup of files

or should i set it up as a multi boot with all the different os tools on the master hydd like macrium spinrite ect

or is there a better way to do this

lol you too i guess im not the only one who sees the android as a valuable tool in my arsnal see i wouldnt by mobile internet till i got that then it just made sense
