Best app to hide a running program completely?

What's the best app to hide a program from running completely?

I'm wanting to install a few small applications as part of a maintenance program and have them completely hidden unless I need to unhide them and work on them.
The main issue is getting it off the taskbar and systray.

Sort of like an echo off command.
