Has anyone out there ever done any contracting work for Barrister Global Services Network? They contacted me tonight about doing a motherboard & power supply swap tomorrow at a doctors office. I agreed since my business has been slow this lately. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with them. Thanks.

They've got a rep for very low and slow pay. Some techs have had to threaten them with a Lawyer to get paid. They were originally in NO LA and later Texas. Not sure where they are now.

Barester is nationwide they handle warranty for Compaq and E machine Computers

The shop I worked at in Michigan was takeing calls for them always got payed but the pay is low at that time they would only pay 60 for a call eventually we dropped them
If you need the money It could be a source of income a lot of paperwork to do for the pay. Also I believe they pay net 15

Yeah we still do work for Barrister, and was on their black list for a little while as we had problems with the fact that it would take onwards up to 45min+ waiting on hold of tech support and 30mins+ waiting to talk with someone to close the call. There really isn't that much paperwork involved, and we have been paid for every call. The one catch is that you have to only accept real local calls as they don't do milage and their rates have went down over the years do to other competition.

Yes, Barristers runs calls nationwide. I was speaking to where they are physically located. They seem to move around quite a bit. Definitely a less than reputable company. 30 minutes on hold to close a call? What if they send the wrong part?! Here is a list of some of the techs they have messed over. One just filed yesterday!
