I assumed that is what he meant... at least I hope that is what he meant.
Yea I'm going with PayPal here and get the debit card... just nit sure if I shall get iPad min or iPad 2....

Um. If you have an existing checking account, you can have it deposited right on there. What if you need cash? Paypal debit cards have fees attached.

Not to mention that Paypal is so full of ****. They instituted additional verification on my business account for no reason. I complained and after 2 weeks they just lifted the limit without me doing anything. If you think a bank is bad, Paypal is practically lawless. They just do whatever they want.

+6 Square

You can get cash out of a PP debit at any ATM... Plus if you're spending directly on the card you get 1% cash back. Adds up over time...

What? Not sure what trouble you had with them, but FYI PP isn't a bank and isn't governed by the same laws (if any) ... that being said I've never had issue with them. Now Google Checkout, that's a different story...

The ATM fees are what Amanda was referring to. There aren't any "Paypal" ATMs, so you're always paying foreign ATM fees. As opposed to a regular bank account where you could just walk into a branch and withdraw as much as your heart desires without any fees or limitations. Most decent banks offer cash back for using your card as well.

I had a similar problem with Paypal. Computer repair businesses are flagged by Paypal as "high risk" and you can be stuck waiting 30 days before having access to your funds. Needless to say, I haven't accepted a payment via Paypal since then. I'd rather accept a payment over the phone via Square and eat the extra manual-entry fee.

I just like the debit card so I can use it to buy stuff instead of carriing cash

Oh, dude I pay ATM fees no matter what bank I use except the only one in town heh. That's nothing new to me :\ I consider that cost of doing business since every single bank ever has a fee for not using their own ATM. Yes you can walk into a branch and withdraw as much as you want (you can do that with Paypal too, online at least...) but try that at an ATM with *any* bank and you'll run into the same limitations...

But I didn't know Paypal held computer repair biz in such a regard though. Never had that trouble myself... wonder what flags an account as 'high risk' then...

Ahh... I was talking about the ATM fees. If you have your business checking a decent sized bank, you can avoid fees. I suppose you could just do the cash back with purchase thing if needed.

I guess we're spoiled here... plenty of options for avoiding ATM fees in our area, even with the small local banks/credit unions. I guess in your situation though, considering it a cost of doing business would be the logical way to look at it.

USAA bank doesn't charge ATM fees at any ATM. I know not everyone is eligible for USAA, but if you are it's a great option.

Buying a Nintendo DS from China on ebay of course. After I did that all hell broke loose.

Edit: All I ever did prior to buying said toy was purchase pc parts through ebay and buy stuff from steam and league of legends. Totally unwarranted.

I didn't even have to do that! All I did was create my account, and Paypal was all like "Hey, buddy! Welcome to Paypal!" Then when I accepted my first Paypal payment they were all like "Oh... yeah... You're a computer repair business... we're gonna have to hold this money for 30 days to make sure you're not scamming people."

Sqaured is free. This is going to be a waste of money! YOu keep asking the same question just in different ways. I wouldnt even take credit cards until you are more established.

If I didn't take CC I would loose half my customers......I agree with you otherwise, if there were a way to keep busy with cash only customers I would....If you take checks you are going to loose more than the 3-4% CC cost.
