you are right, I don't want them to know where my house is but I don't think my dad would want to drive with me to pick up all the computers.

Why does your dad need to drive with you? Do you have a license? A car? You can drive yourself. How are you going to handle emergency services? A business client that calls about their server? These are on-site calls.

Why do I feel I'm being had?

Good luck to you. One way or another, you are about to learn some life lessons. Either a group of experienced people with good intentions are giving you bad advice and you have it all figured out, or......

......something else.

Very surprised any card processor would open an account with a sub-21 year old....

With all the GREAT advice, which has been given to the OP, in the numerous threads he has made, I am just about to give up, even looking at his threads.

Everything, is going round in circles here, from having the solitary '4' clients, which means, he NEEDS a card reader. Just because they 'may' want to pay by card. FFS, am I reading all this correctly?. Just tell them, its either cash or cheque only. You don't deal with cards. Easy enough, christ, I did that for 7 years!. It's only last year, I decided I needed a card terminal, and merchant account.

To working from his parents basement, where one minute, clients will be down there, to not accepting them down there, to his father going with him on call outs, I mean WTF!?.

Never mind, the fact that clients may be coming to your premises, and down your slippery steps into the basement. What about insurance, should they slip and fall?. To me, that is more of a priority than looking for a merchant account, and paying out $600ish for a card terminal.

It seems to me, as if this guy, has simply made his mind up, and no matter what advice will be given to him, as long as it agrees with his thinking, of week one in business. He knows everything there is to know. If you don't agree, then your in the wrong, and he will do everything to make you believe his way is right.

Well good luck my friend, i'm outta here, and your threads. I will not be giving you any future advice concerning business issues here.

I am listing to what everyone says im just not able to decide... im deff gonna what on the terminal for a few months but I am looking into the company that would be right for me

Sorry if my post seemed harsh. Just found out tonight my father in law only has a couple of days left to live.. :(. Been at the hospital most of the day. Heads in bits. I could and should of worded it better.

My apologies to all concerned. I shouldn't of taken it out on the op.

You do speak english... yes? Every single time you have asked what company you should go with, you've been answered with a resounding SQUARE!

I would bet my own business that you won't have enough customers to warrant a full-blown merchant services provider for several years. Regardless of what you've read on BofA's website, it's not as cheap as you think. Take it from the ones who have been there and done that. You're not uncovering some new and untapped resource over at BofA. It's the same old sh*t we've all looked at and blown off because WE KNOW BETTER.

But hey... do what you want. It really has no impact on me and my well-being if you crash and burn because you can't afford the overhead you've unnecessarily created for yourself.

That's about the smartest thing you've said. Keep in mind though... if you go with an iPad, your mobile processing can be setup as a full blown POS based on your iPad... research your mobile options (Paypal Here, Square, PayAnywhere) The fees are so similar the only difference you really need to look at is the features. I know at least one of them can connect with a cash drawer and everything. I know how you're wanting to look professional... that'd be the way to do it on the cheap!

Direct deposit to your bank account within like 1-2 days... could possibly direct deposit to Paypal account I suppose... all you need is an acct & routing number.

Does anyone know if PayPal here is compatible with iPad or iPad mini?
