Bakery Focused POS

I have a customer that is looking to open a retail store front. Right now they run a bakery business that is purely for business to business as they supply local coffee shops, etc.

The owner will be needing to remotely see what had sold and what needs to be stocked. They do like the idea of using an iPad but ultimately will use what the software can work with.

Does anyone know of any retail point of sale systems that may be suitable for a coffee/bakery location?

I was briefly looking in to Shopify as they seem to be popular for these types of businesses but have not had a chance to try it out.

VendHQ seems pretty popular. If using integrated processing, make sure to check what payment processor they use, test how good the customer support from the payment processor is, and find out how closely the POS system support is able to work with the payment processor support.

I've ran into the situation where neither the POS support nor the payment processor support had documentation on how the integration is supposed to be set up, and the channels that the POS support goes through were the exact same as if anyone called in themselves.
